were approaching their 18th birthday when awarded the rank.
Troop 289 Mission Statement:
Boy Scout troop 289 is a scouting organization that focuses on youth leadership, responsibilities, and honor to train these scouts into well developed men whom will carry out scouting's principles all throughout life, and become very constructive members of society.
Focus Areas:
Backpacking (we do many weekend trips and a weeklong 50 miller each year). You can view more about our backpacking trips in our Backpacking section.
Sailing: We own and maintain ~4 HobieCat 16' boats
Boy Lead scouting.
The troop has both this public area with general info, handbooks etc. and a Member Area for troop members maintained by the scouts.
